on hiatus

Unfortunately, I must put myself on a crafty and net hiatus. THIS IS VERY HARD TO DO FOR ME, but I have to if I am going to pass this very important test.

I must BUCKLEDOWN (sorry it is my mantra now) so that I can pass my CPM exams which happens in a few weeks. That is module 1 - I have to take 3 more so the next two months or so will be crazy busy with studying. I am putting myself on a schedule and I have packed away all my crafty goodies until I pass this THANG.

So I will continue with all my stuff... 365 and atc - but it will be done post passing the test. I will basically take the 365 pics every day but not really post them until I am done if that makes sense? Seriously post exam will their be blizzards and craftyness! I might just have to put myself on a crafty vacation. lol.

So please send good karma my way so that I dont lose it while studying and that I pass the tests! HUGS ALL and please dont forget about me! *meep*

Major props to Martha for putting up with my tired butt this morning. We had a great time shopping at Joann's... until THE RUDE WOMAN started giving her opinion on us. GERRRRR

Let me paint the picture. 17 women waiting in line to get our fabric cut. IT WAS TAKING FOREVER. Of course Martha has fabo taste in fabric so we have a huge cart filled to the prim with our fabric. Someone asked what we were making with it. We proudly said -dog coats and dresses. Everyone was like ohhh! Cool... but this lady right in front of us said something like "I don't like it when people dress their dogs up - I don't think they like it... " or SOMETHING like that. Of course we could have gone all postal on her butt but we didn't. Than while getting our fabric cut.. she asked what it would take to make a coat for her dog!?! WTF!?!

So I am off to send this to my friends and family and make sure they know yes SEWING IS EASY. lol.

Again -thank you MARTHA! Aine is zzzzzing right now and I think she just might wear this to bed! LOL. We can't wait to visit you again!!! *hugs* Nancy and Aine.

In Stitches http://www.amybutlerdesign.expressfulfillment.com/ProductSpec.asp?PRODUCTID=1403 She has been featured in my BluePrint magazine and Country Living( another magazine that I am NOW addicted to). The Sew IT Kit also looks pretty uber cool too. Also I adore her fabrics. Very Liberty of London /William Morris-ish in my opinion. Now if I could just FIND a place that sells them locally.
4) http://www.theneedleshop.net OMG I CAN'T WAIT TO GO TO THIS STORE! Omg they have some really cool sewing classes....also... they have Upholstery Basics—Beginner Classes!!! *does happy dance* Only thing is ... it doesn't seem like they have a PHONE NUMBER. gerr. Also it looks like the first time for a beginning sewing class won't be till February. Also all the upholstery glasses and other uber cool classes are during the week... hence that means me taking a day off.

Anyways... tomorrow I am going to 3 MOVIES. 1) Alvin and the chipmunks 2) The Water Horse and 3 Sweeney/Juno or National Treasure. lol.

yep. I sew and am doing 365

I forgot to post my first EVERRRR (as an adult that is) sewing conception/art/crafty thingy!

After being lampasted (not kidding!)by my sister and mom (only sew SHEETS they said!!) because they thought I would sew my hand shut on my new PRECIOUS sewing machine *SINGER!MARTHA APPROVED!177 stiches! ACK!* I made 9 of the above. All have different names - and I made it to hold a cd of pictures for the San Fran trip that I took with my 7 sisters and Mom. This had to happen because no one could understand Shutterfly!

I have since than have been bugging my friends who are extremely talented with sewing (cough ....http://iamsusie.blogspot.com/ and http://www.blogger.com/mugseyboo@blogspot.com ... cough) to help me with figuring out this very fun craft and bless em! They have been most patient with my numerous questions. Especially of the idiot kind... as in um .... what is THAT?! kind of questions. See when I was a kid - I sewed like CRAZY. I have to take a picture of my first doll... I will do that this weekend... anyways... EVERYONE seems to have forgotten that I sewed in my family. Also much to my anger - they really seem to POO POO it. And I am like SCREW THAT NOISE!Hence, I become more obsessed with sewing and I have even been looking at sites that feature only ribbon and am contemplating how the heck I can get Liberty of London fabric here on my very beer like budget. lol. But seriously though... I am still in a bit of a shock that I don't have to make my own bobbins by hand!

Okay enough of that... one scrappy item that I made at the Archivers 12 Hour crop that I went to the other day is a PUGGY XMAS CARD BOOK. OMG I had to do this year because these cards were just SO CUTE! I mean - seriously - someone drew their CARDS!

Also - I am now doing 365... you know that challenge to take a picy of yourself everyday? So far - I have gotten one of me and one of my life...ie work. ...

1/1/08 started the year off right... rearranged my office to be more productive. Did I get any cbt's done? UM NO. DAMNIT. But I was more focused....

1/2/08 my 2 loves... Aine and GOSSIP GIRL!!! ACK! *flails* omg lOVE THAT SHOW. I know it is a bad show but I STILL adore it! Blair is going to have a wee bun in the oven! WOOT!

And yes that is a new hair cut....

Yep if that is not the most pathetic WHY ME Puggy face I don't know what is - goodnight all! I am off to the downtown office tomorrow. *MOAN and says prayers* HUGS! Nan

A Play Date for Mummy and Puggy....

Aine got to play yesterday with Mugsey Boo and Pixie Boo... owned by the lovely Martha at mugseyboo@blogspot.com . WE HAD SO MUCH FUN! While the puggies got to play and literally poop themselves out Martha and I scrapped. Very productive day all around.... first the puggies spamage....

I did my first ATC card... inspired by Martha.... it goes with the Love Elise 52 challenge book and the first challenge is to own the words... I had NO clue what quote to use... and Martha came up with a stupendous one! LOL

but I also did a layout too... i adore this paper! Also the silver leaf pen? So thinking it might be in every layout I DO.

(mental note: Oh SHOOT! I forgot to add the layout from the crop I did with Diane! SHOOT. Okay that will be tomorrow's post! anywayyysss)
